Pundits discuss wheather Liverpool vs Spurs should be played again or not

Liverpool

Pundits Jamie Carragher and Franks Lampard were discussing wheather Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspurs should played again or not on Monday Night Football.

Both the pundits were discussing about Luis Diaz’s disallowed goal on Saturday. VAR made a blunder in their decision as the Columbian was in inside position. PGMOL have reached authorities at Liverpool to discuss the matter.

Fans at Mersyside are demanding a replay of the match for such an error. However, it is quite unlikely to that final result will be changed despite the major blunder by VAR.

Carragher and Lampard discussed the matter but doubt the fact that replay is unlikely to happen. Speaking on the MNF Studio for Sky, Lampard said:-

“I don’t see it. I don’t know what the repercussions of that would be because this is however many apologies they have made since VAR has been in. This is very factual and the circumstances of the mistake are something you can’t get your head around and understand.”

Carragher agreed with his former rival and said :-

“I don’t think there should be a replay. I don’t believe that.”

Replaying a game over a wrongful decision made by VAR might not happen in Premier League. However, rematch over a offside call is also nonsensical.

If the rematch happens, number of teams in the league would have many reasons over the years to ask for the same. Everybody needs to move on on this and VAR should be more cautious to give verdict when such situation occur again.
