Ramsdale remains positive after Arsenal reached an agreement with Raya

Arsenal No 1 Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale remains postive and motivated after Gunners reached an agreement with David Raya this summer.

Manager Mikel Arteta will now have two viable goalkeepers in their ranks this season. However Ramsdale gets taste of his own medicine, as he replaced Bernard Leno in the Arsenal squad.

Ramsdale has been in terrific form last campaign, but Arteta needs competition between the sticks. Hence Raya has emerged as a potential target for the Spaniard.

The 25-year-old English goalkeeper takes it as a “challenge”. He is completely ready for the competition and said :-

“Bring it on.

“Nothing comes easy in football. But also at the same time you need to move along, and need to adapt as well yourself.

“I’ve done it to other people when I’ve moved to clubs so I’m not going to be thinking that it’s never going to happen to me. I think if it happens, it happens and then we’ll fight and we’ll make each other the best version of ourselves.”

Arteta wants competition among the players in his Team

After hearing Ramsdale’s comments, Arteta will be delighted as he wants competition among the players in his team. He wants his players to embrace the challenge of fighting for their spot. The Spaniard said :-

“I hope not, because the competition here always exists whoever it is and that’s what he has to feel like.

“If we don’t feel like this, we are not going to get the best out of each player, so we better feel like this and make sure that we all feel like this, me first.”
