tennis player

Raphael Varane has suffered a groin muscle injury and will be out for Manchester United. The player suffered the injury during the UEFA Nations Cup Final between France and Spain. The French National Team won that game by 2-1.

The centre-back was taken off during the first half of France’s 2-1 victory over Spain at the San Siro. It was the latest title in his illustrious career, and he was joined on the winning team by Reds teammates Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial. Varane’s injury, which occurred after he was bought from Real Madrid in the summer. It has come at a poor time for United. This is so as they approach a pivotal point in their season in terms of championship contention. Varane is anticipated to miss the Premier League match against Leicester on Saturday. As well as the Champions League match against Atalanta in midweek. And perhaps the match against Liverpool at Old Trafford on October 24. To make matters worse, captain Harry Maguire is a doubt for United’s first game back after the international break, which will be against his former club Leicester.

Manchester United Without Raphael Varane

Manchester United will have a difficult sequence of games in October and November even with Raphael Varane. As they attempt to maintain their Premier League lead and qualify for the Champions League. While keeping an eye on their domestic fixtures against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur. As well as the all-important Manchester derby looming.

Now without Raphael Varane or Harry Maguire fit to play the next game of the season. The club will have to look to play their other centre back pairing. Many at Manchester United would have breathed a sigh of relief when Eric Bailly returned unharmed from the Ivory Coast’s 2-1 triumph against Malawi on Monday. Bailly has never been the most durable of defenders. He appears to be on the verge of getting another shot at Old Trafford, assuming he can survive 90 minutes in Benin.

This comes after the player has an awful track record in relation to his injuries. Lindelof has never been as prone to injury as Bailly, and the Ivorian will be upset to have been relegated to fourth-string centre back this season. This pairing would take back Manchester by 2 years in their defender choices. While during that period they were starters to the first team 11. Right now they have fallen off making appearances during cup games. Marking their roles as rotation players. Manchester United are set to get ready for a tough period of games. This is so as the team would need to go back to a more defensive approach. While playing their games this season.
