Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti believes that Victor Osimhen is the right striker choice for Chelsea. Carlo Ancelotti is also a former manager of Chelsea. Speaking to Sky Italia, he was in full praise for the Napoli man as his side will face him in the champions League on Wednesday. The Nigerian is recently linked with a move away from Napoli. However, the fire between the club and striker looks to have cooled down in recent times. Even though many top clubs are speculating a move for the striker, Chelsea still remain the favourites. Their desire to bring in a striker is nothing clandestine with Pochettino not happy with his current options. It is reported that Osimhen is a dream target but a move can only be feasible in next summer transfer.
However, the blues are also looking for more options to target in the January transfer. Ivan Toney and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are the two recent names in the list. Carlo was appreciating the Nigerian in his recent interview ahead of their Champions League clash against Napoli. He said,
“Victor Osimhen is a complete attacker, very strong with his head and in transitions. We took all this into account in the first leg, and we will try to take it into account tomorrow too.”
The Blues will need to lighten their purse in order to felicitate a move for Osimhen. However, looking at their current position, they are in a need for a quick reinforcement in front of the goal. They better look for Toney or any other easily available option in the market in the winter transfer. Though, many clubs like Arsenal can give them a tough competition for Ivan Toney as well.
