Real Madrid are looking for a permanent transfer for Kepa from Chelsea. Kepa is currently on a season-long loan spell at Madrid. Moreover, they are set to offer a player as well in exchange for the Spanish goalkeeper as per report. The Mirror has reported about the ongoing talks among the members of Madrid for the deal. With the arrival of Robert Sanchez, Chelsea might accept the offer for their loanee.

“Kepa Arrizabalaga could be in line for a permanent switch to Real Madrid after impressing during his loan spell with the Spanish giants.

“The former Athletic Bilbao man was swiftly identified as a top target by Los Blancos after Thibaut Courtois – another former Blues player – sustained a serious knee injury on the eve of the new season.

“Since sealing a return to Spain, Kepa has hinted that he would prefer to remain at Real Madrid on a permanent basis rather than return to Stamford Bridge. It seems as though the Spain international could get his wish in the new year.

Real would be willing to pay up to £17.5m for Kepa. There are also tentative plans to offer their second-choice goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin, as a makeweight.”.

Kepa has had a mixed performance during his time with the Premier League club. He is Chelsea’s record penalty-saving keeper ahead of legendary Petr Cech. However, he is also mocked for some of his horrible errors in between the sticks. Though, he is having a decent time with Los Blancos. A permanent move to Spain might be of huge importance for the keeper.
