Reiss Nelson rejects AC Milan as he will continue at Arsenal

Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson rejects Italian Giants AC Milan this summer as he would move to continue at the Emirates in future.

However, few doubts were there over Nelson’s future over this summer. He struggled to find his consistent form under Mikel Arteta with his contract entering the final few months.

As per CaughtOffSide column, Transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano states that there were lot of teams keen on signing Nelson this summer. AC Milan and Brighton are the clubs who expressed their interest in the 23-year-old.

At the end, Manager Mikel Arteta played a key role in convincing him to stay at the Emirates. Nelson now has the possibility to play in the Champions League for Arsenal. Romano further stated :-

“The good news continues for Arsenal as Reiss Nelson has signed his new four-year contract to commit his future to the club.

“I’ve spoken about other clubs also being interested in Nelson and I can reveal here that AC Milan, Brighton and also one French club were the teams who explored this possibility.

“There was really strong interest in Nelson but he decided to stay, he loves Arsenal and he’s happy to play Champions League football next season. This was an important factor, including his conversations with Mikel Arteta.”

Reiss Nelson has made only 11 Premier League apperances last season. He came off the bench maximum times and scored three goals and provided five assists.

Nelson may not had much game time at the Emirates, but it’s great to see that he’s eager to stay and fight for his place.
