Reporter claims that West Ham fans won’t be happy with Rice’s transfer

Sky Sports Reporter Micheal Bridge claims that some West Ham fans won’t be happy with Declan Rice’s transfer in this transfer window.

The England International joined Arsenal for a fee of £105 million plus add-ons. West Ham fans long knew that their captain will leave the club this summer.

Gunners completed the deal after months of speculations. Rice will be the most expensive transfer in Arsenal’s history.

While there is no hard fought rivalry between Arsenal and West Ham United, but Hammers supporters criticised the transfer. They felt that it would be have been more suitable if Rice joined Manchester City or any foreign club.

As per previous reports, Rice also claimed that he wanted to play in Champions League and compete for silverwares. And some West Ham fans believes that Arsenal doesn’t possess that quality.

Many West Ham supporters are not happy with Rice when he told in English Press-conference during the World Cup to signal his intent to leave the club. The midfielder was also criticised for some his comments back when Hammers were fight with relegation battle.

SkySports Reporter Micheal Bridge asked some difficult questions to manager David Moyes during darks days last season. He spoke to GIVEMESPORTS and claimed that Rice had his heart set on a move to Arsenal. He further stated :-

“I was told in February that if Declan Rice was leaving West Ham this summer, he was going to Arsenal. He wanted to go to Arsenal.

“I feel that West Ham were frustrated with Arsenal’s first few offers. Perhaps there was disappointment knowing that the player had his heart set on going to Arsenal. Of course, I’m sure Arsenal fans were very worried when Manchester City came in as well.”
