Pundit Stephen Warnock states that West Ham midfielder Declan Rice will be perfect signing for Arsenal despite Liverpool wanting him.

The former Liverpool full-back thinks Declan Rice will be an ‘unbelievable” player for Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window. The English International has 12 months left in his contract with Hammers and Warnock they’ll lose their starman.

However, West Ham United will demand a ‘hefty’ amount for Rice, who could end his career at London Stadium with a trophy. Hammers will face Fiorentina in UEFA Europa Conference League Final at Fortuna Arena( Czech Republic).

Warnock wants the 24-year-old at Anfield but he also admits that he is on his way to Arsenal this summer. He told The Football Show on SkySports:-

“He is a Champions League player and he deserves to be playing Champions League football.

“I think the reason West Ham fans accept it to a certain degree is that he has never shied away and sulked about his position at the club. He never thought ‘I want to get out’ or moaned about it – he has always been respectful towards West Ham and I think they appreciate what he has done for them.

“From the point of view of getting Declan Rice, I think it would be an unbelievable signing for Arsenal. Not sure what the fee would be – you look at him and you think ‘he would thrive in that team’. But I would like him at Liverpool.”

Arsenal are now leading the race to sign Rice in the summer as they return to Champions League Football after 7 long years.
