Steve McManaman lauds the performance of Jeremy Doku against Liverpool

Steve McManaman applauses the performance of Jeremy Doku against Liverpool. Steve said that Jeremy Doku was outstanding against Liverpool on Saturday. The high-voltage clash between Man City and Liverpool ended in a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium. However, the Belgian was a complete menace for the Liverpool defence. Though, the Sky Blues controlled the tempo of the game for most of the time. However, the Reds held City at 1-0 before Trent Alexander-Arnold fired past a shot against Ederson.

For Liverpool. they kept most of the prominent City players quiet. Despite this, Doku was completely out of control for Trent for most of the game. He could have easily scored a goal if the Reds did not stick to their plans. Commenting on the Belgian’s performance, Steve said on Premier League productions,

“A point apiece, both teams will be happy, both managers will be fairly happy. I thought Man City were the better team, Doku was outstanding. Liverpool got the result they probably wanted. They’ll be very happy to get away with a point. It was an entertaining game.”

The young winger has been a revelation for the Premier League champions since his arrival. He is a player who means business in the league and with such a young age, he will only get better with time. The result was completely fair owing to the positions of the two sides. However, Liverpool were not looking at their best at times. The draw between the two has surely heated up the title race as Gunners will be looking to capitalise this situation in their favour.
