Surya Kumar Yadav is set to appear in the Asia cup 2022. Recently, former Pakistan bowler Wasim Akram revealed in an interview his favorite player. Surya Kumar Yadav is one whom Akram finds very impressive. Surya Kumar Yadav is also addressed as SKY. SKY has been playing domestic cricket for a decade now. SKY has also left a trademark for playing in domestic cricket. However, It’s been only 2 years since he made his name in world cricket.
Wasim Akram expressed, that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul are India’s best finds. Furthermore, SKY is the biggest asset in recent times that India has. Wasim remembered the time when he was with SKY in Kolkata Knight Riders camp in the IPL. That time SKY played some beautiful cameos in the tournament.

While talking to the media in the press conference arranged by the official broadcaster, Akram stated,
“Of course, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli are there, but one of my favorite players these days, in this shorter format, is Suryakumar Yadav. He has been phenomenal, I saw him the first year when he joined the Kolkata Knight Riders and he played a couple of games batting at No. 7 and 8. And a couple of shots he played the one that he picks from the middle of his bat towards fine leg that’s an unusual and difficult shot to muster,”
Wasim Akram who has been Pakistan’s highest wicket tacker also called Surya Kumar Yadav as the complete 360 batter. Akram further said,
“And since he has made it to the Indian squad, he has been a treat to watch. I think he is a very dangerous player against either spin or fast bowlers once he sets in and he is actually a 360-degree player who can play either this side, that side the lap shot, towards cow corner, equally good against spinners,”
