“Tapsoba can be signed by Spurs this summer, if they sell Kane” – Romano

Kane

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Bayern Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba can be signed by Tottenham Hotspur, if they able to sell Harry Kane this summer.

Kane’s future at the North-London club looks dull and Bayern Munich are in pole position to sign him this summer. Hence, if he leaves in this transfer window, Spurs will be in a urgent need of a new striker.

If the striker leaves the club this summer, Spurs will need to re-invest from the sale wisely. Hence, if we think logically, they’ll go and spend a huge amount of money on striker.

However, Fabrizio Romano suggests that might not be the possible case. Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, he suggests that Spurs may sign Tapsoba with the money they get back from selling Kane.

Romano shares what he currently knows about Tapsoba :-

“For the other movements I would mention Edmond Tapsoba, I keep saying this, Tottenham want Tapsoba, they consider Tapsoba a top target but Bayer Leverkusen are a very tough club to negotiate with, they want big money so this is why the negotiation is complicated. I think that if they sell Kane and they have big money to invest in the market Tapsoba could be a very concrete option.”

It is somewhat quite confusing to see a club tsign a new defender with the money they’ve recieved from selling striker. However a new centre-back could be just an important as new striker at Tottenham right now.
