The Yo-Yo test score of Shubman Gill highest of them All: Reports

Shubman Gill excels in the Yo-Yo test by scoring 18.7, the highest so far by any other Indian cricketer. Before this, the ex-skipper of Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, shared his score, which was 17.2, on his Instagram.

Yo-Yo Test Conducted Before Asia Cup 2023

Cricketers are undergoing a Yo-Yo test in their training camp before Asia Cup 2023. The report says, Shubman Gill has scored the highest score of 18.7 to set up a record.

Shubman Gill, to feature in the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 as a right-handed batsman. He is an asset to the Indian cricket team and one of the fittest cricketers in the world.

BCCI’s Warning on violation of leaking Information

King Kohli revealed his Yo-Yo test score through his Instagram story and captioned it:

“The happiness of finishing the Yo Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done”

However, BCCI condemned this act and issued a verbal warning to all the the Indian cricketers, informing them not to share any confidential info, including the Yo-Yo test scores, which would cause a “breach of contract”.

In addition to this, a BCCI official stated

“Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause”

5 Cricketers Refused The Test: Reports

According to reports, five cricketers, Jasprit Bumrah, Tilak Verma, Kl Rahul, Prasidh Krishna, and Sanju Samson(travelling stand-by player), did not participate in the test, unlike other Indian players.

While KL Rahul is yet to recover, the other four cricketers were immune from the Yo-Yo test because of their recent Ireland Trip.

India’s first Asia Cup encounter will be with Pakistan on September 2nd at Pallekele Stadium, Sri Lanka.
