Tottenham hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou reveals two new injury updates

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou confirms two new injury updates ahead of their clash with Aston Villa. The problems are looking to be mounting for Tottenham and Postecoglou. The relaxation period looks to be over for the North London side. They suffered defeats against Chelsea and Wolves before the international break. Now, Postecoglou shares two new injury updates besides previous ones. Having been on top until gameweek 10, the COYS were soaring high in the league. Though, they got a major blow by the injuries to Micky Van De Ven and James Maddison against Chelsea. Consequently, they lost their next fixture too before heading to international break.

Young Ashley Phillips picked up an ankle injury with the England team. He’s out for a little while. We’re still assessing it but at least probably a month out.

And we’re still checking on Pape Sarr, who has a bit of an issue coming back from the national team. We’ll see how he is. He didn’t train today. Aside from that, (Yves) Bissouma is suspended but we’ll get Destiny (Udogie) back. I think everyone else is OK.

Tottenham will look to bounce back with a win over Villa this Sunday. Though, players like Richarlison, Perisic, Solomon and Ryan Sessegnon are also sidelined with injuries. Moreover, Cristian Romero and Yves Bissouma will be unavailable owing to their suspensions. Spurs stand fourth in the table just a point above Emery’s side. They are three points behind the leaders, Man City with a game in hand. However, a loss on Sunday will see them fall out of the top4 from the league.
