Tottenham is in a rush to finalize the signing of a £60 million striker

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham hopes to use the January transfer window to address several issues in their squad.

Spurs are searching for a player to replace Harry Kane. Though they have been linked to a number of midfielders and defenders in recent weeks.

After a protracted transfer saga that saw the England striker leave the Premier League and relocate to Germany in search of a fresh challenge, Kane signed with Bayern Munich in the summer.

Spurs have made use of Richarlison and Heung-Min Son as their forward options. But the Premier League team is currently searching for a suitable Kane replacement to join their team.

Tottenham is interested in Santiago Gimenez

Ben Jacobs state on Last Word about Spurs that the North London team is actually wants the signing of Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez.

Yeah I think that Tottenham are assessing if they can bring in a wide forward or a goal scorer. I think a really concrete target is Santiago Gimenez. But that’s one for the summer, there will be no exit as I’m aware in January. Or if there is to be one it would be an incredible amount of money for Feyenoord,” Jacobs said.

This season, Gimenez has excelled in the Eredivisie. This season, the striker has participated in 16 league games and netted 18 goals.

Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Spurs, has stated that his team is eager to add players to their roster in order to build on a stellar campaign.

While it may seem simple to replace Kane at Tottenham, it will likely be challenging for them to locate a player who can truly close the significant gap left by the England captain.
