Tottenham Hotspur’s latest signing Luka Vuskovic is now been compared to Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol, as per reports.

Tottenham had an excellent summer transfer window as it is reflecting in their performance in this campaign. Under new manager Ange Postecoglou, the north-london club has been unbeaten in the Premier League so far.

Meanwhile, their latest aquisition Luka Vuskovic is one of most talented defender of his age group. Spurs made the official announcement this week.

Many big European clubs were monitoring the young Croatia defender but Spurs beat everyone for his signature this summer. Vuskovic is still 16 as holds a huge future in front of him.

Former football manager Zoran Vulic, who worked Vuskovic previously, compares him with Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol. Guardiola’s side signed the 21-year-old for a record fee of £90 million from German RB Liepzig this summer.

Speaking to Sportske Novosti, Vulic said :-

“What he has inside him is an exceptional feeling for the ball. Many say that he and his brother (Hamburg’s Mario Vuskovic) lack speed, but I don’t know who is the fastest stopper in the world.

“Next to today’s fast, light strikers, stout stoppers have little chance. The Vušković family plays football with their head, and there are really few of them.

“I would not like to burden Luka with big announcements, but I have to put him in the category of players like Gvardiol and (Josip) Sutalo. That’s how I see his future, given that I know his physical and mental abilities.”
