Tottenham are looking to join the race to sign Fluminense star Andre Trindade. Clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are already in the hunt for Andre. Now, Tottenham are also ready to fight for his services. The 22-year Brazilian recently won the Copa Libertadores beating Boca Juniors by 2-1. However, he has been on the radar of Premier League clubs since long. Spurs may sell their midfield Pierre Emile Højbjerg in order to felicitate the move as per talkSPORT.
Liverpool remain the favourites to secure a move as they recently lost their no. 6 Fabinho to the hands of Al Ittihad this summer. Moreover, Arteta also sent scouts to have a keen look at the Brazilian in the recent weeks. Though, Manchester United can be the dark horses as Ten Hag is looking for a direct replacement of Casemiro. The United midfielder is also under consideration of Saudi Arabia.
Andre has also been an admirer of Casemiro and has revealed it in the past as well. He told ESPN Brazil in 2022 that,
“I didn’t know about [United’s interest]. And I also don’t think anything came of it. We’re in November, there’s the final stretch of the Brazilian Championship, there’s the World Cup, but I’m very happy.
Casemiro is a guy who has a huge career, I try to talk to him a lot when I’m with the national team.
He’s a person who gives me a lot of advice, he’s a great leader and all I can do is continue playing well and I’m happy with all these surveys and comments.”
