Tottenham received €7.7million bid for Sanchez from Stade Rennes

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspurs has received a bid of €7.7million for Davinson Sanchez from the French club Stade Rennes. A report from L’Equipe has shared that the French club has just made an offer for Colombian International. Manager Ange Postecoglou appears to have made his mind about the players who will be important or not for the season.

Tottenham looking to release Sanchez to Rennes

The report from L’Equipe suggests that offer from Rennes is €7.7million. However, Spurs has not given the green light for this deal. Furthermore, they are likely to ask for €12.5million for the 27-years old Colombian International who has only a year left on his contract. Though, Rennes might not agree for this fee and are likely to counter with €8.5million if the initial valuation is rejected.

The French club has already done some business with COYS in the past. They signed Rodon last summer on loan deal who made 22appearances for Rennes. Similarly, they signed Djed Spence in January as he was in a hunt for the first-team minutes. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham accept a bid for Sanchez without bringing in a replacement.

Spurs looking to cut down their squad before deadline

Tottenham’s squad is too big right now and Postecoglou would like making some exits before the deadline day. There are few players who have not played a minute of competitive football this season.

Japhet Tanganga and Eric Dier are expected to leave the club this summer. Sergio Regulion is reportedly attracting interest from Man United. Pierre Emile Højbjerg is also linked with a transfer to Manchester United in recent days. Postecoglou would like to bring in another defender but knows he needs to shift on some of his current options before that happens.
