Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah cannot understand why Chelsea are so desperate to sell him now. This is according to a report from The Telegraph. It claims that Chalobah does not know why Chelsea are so eager to sell him and letting him go from Stamford Bridge. Earlier this month, Fabrizio Romano reported that Chelsea accepted an offer for Chalobah from Nottingham Forest worth of £25m in the summer window. Though, Trevoh Chalobah rejects the move.
Trevoh Chalobah is yet to play a game for Chelsea this season in the Premier League. However, he is unavailable since long due to injury as well. Chelsea have spent a lot of money during the summer transfer window. They even managed to have a big clear-out of the players but they still want to generate some more cash. This is probably the reason why Chelsea want Chalobah to depart from Stamford Bridge. Coming from the academy, the Blues can make a big profit deal from the defender by selling him for a substantial amount.
Though, it would not have been the case if Chelsea could have given the role to him in the squad. Instead, they signed Axel Disasi who costed them £38.5m. Trevoh Chalobah, who was hailed as “fantastic” by Thomas Tuchel, now looks not to be a part of Chelsea by next summer. Though, a lot can happen before the January transfer window like injuries but it is unlikely for him to stay with Mauricio Pochettino and co.
