Manchester United offer David De Gea a new short-term deal as the English club might face a GK crises at the start of new year.

The English club is set to offer the veteran shot-stopper a short term deal. Meanwhile, currently number one Andre Onana is set to go to the African Cup of Nations in January and February.

De Gea left Manchester United this summer after 12 long years at the Old Trafford. The Spaniard failed to agree on a new deal to extend his stay ar the club.

According to The Sun, United offered a reduced contract to De Gea, but the proposal was taken off the table. The Goalkeeper wanted a new challenge in his career, but he is without a club ever since.

The Sun also added that United asked De Gea not to join a new club until they have completed the signing of Andre Onana from Inter Milan. However, the situation have changed in few months as the club is in a urgent need for a goalkeeper this winter.

Manchester United clearly wants to bring back David De Gea including other alternatives in the January transfer window.

David De Gea posted a farewell message after he left United this summer

After the leaving Manchester United, David De Gea posted a farewell message and wrote :-

“I just wanted to send this farewell message to all Manchester United supporters.

“I would like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the love from the last 12 years. We’ve achieved a lot since my dear Sir Alex Ferguson brought me to this club.

“I took incredible pride every time I pulled on this shirt, to lead the team, to represent this institution, the biggest club in the world was an honour only bestowed upon a few lucky footballers.

“It’s been an unforgettable and successful period since I came here. I didn’t think from leaving Madrid as a young boy we would achieve what we did together.

“Now, it’s the right time to undertake a new challenge, to push myself again in new surroundings.

“Manchester will always be in my heart, Manchester has shaped me and will never leave me. We’ve seen it all.”
