Wataru Endo- The complete midfielder for Liverpool

Wataru Endo

Wataru Endo’s has positioned him as a potential player to make his full debut for Liverpool. Most probably, in their upcoming match against Newcastle United on Sunday. His departure from Stuttgart took former VfB Stuttgart star Hansi Muller by surprise.

Liverpool’s acquisition of Endo came as a quick response following their unsuccessful attempts to secure the signings of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo. Both of them opted to join Chelsea instead. Despite the transfer misses, Endo made his debut for Liverpool during the second half of the previous weekend’s victory over Bournemouth. This debut followed his £16 million transfer from Stuttgart, where he also served as the team’s captain.

Hansi Muller disappointed in Endo

In Germany, Hansi Muller, who had a successful seven-year career with Stuttgart, expressed his disappointment at witnessing the departure of the 30-year-old midfielder from the MHPArena. Moreover, he praised Endo as a “complete player” and noted that Endo was the heart and soul of the team. Muller acknowledged the challenge of finding a direct replacement for a player of Endo’s caliber.

Muller also recognized Endo’s ambition to pursue his dream of playing in England. He also stressed that keeping a player who is focused on another opportunity would not be beneficial. He pointed out that VfB Stuttgart had made strategic signings to prepare for potential departures, clarifying that the club’s actions were not indicative of a wholesale selling of players.

Anticipation surrounds Wataru Endo’s potential to earn his first start for Liverpool. Most likely against Newcastle United at St James’ Park. Manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed that both Curtis Jones and Thiago Alcantara won’t be available for the match against Newcastle. This could potentially open the door for Wataru Endo to play a more significant role on the field.
