West Ham star Declan Rice is set to cut his holiday short so that Gunners can finalise the £105 million deal according to The Mirror.

According to the reports, West Ham want the full amount to be paid in 18 months, rather than spread over four years as Arsenal have requested. Hammers are reluctant to compromise on the payment structure of the 24-year-old midfielder.

Rice have already made up his mind to join Arsenal this summer. Due to which he will cut short his holiday to undergo medical in the UK and sign the deal with Arsenal.

Both the clubs are taking their time to complete the deal as a large transfer fee is being negotiated. West Ham want as much as of the £105 million as soon as possible, but Arsenal are reluctant to do so.

However, Mirror claim that both the clubs will came to an understanding position. Rice is eager to move to the Emirates and become the most expensive player in their history. He will soon put pen to paper to end this long saga.

Journalist David Ornstein claims that the deal should be completed in coming days soon once both the clubs agree on a payment structure on Rice. He wrote :-

“Arsenal need to get that structure of payment in place. Having had a fee accepted, I suspect they will & this should get wrapped up. It might not be tomorrow or imminently, but I imagine so in the next days or next week.”

Rice could be Arsenal’s third signing in this week. They have announced the signing of Chelsea forward Kai Havertz for £60 million. Ajax defender Jurrien Timber is also set to move to the club soon.

West Ham are currently finding suitable replacement for Rice.
