West Ham United open to £50m offers for Nayef Aguerd from Man City and Newcastle

English Premier League

West Ham are open to consider offers for £50m for Nayef Aguerd from Man City and Newcastle United. According to Claret & Hugh, West Ham are open to offers for defender Nayef Aguerd for £50million next summer. The Moroccan International was linked with a move away from West Ham in the recent summer transfer window. Though, he stayed with the Hammers.

However, in a post by site founder Hughie Southton on Sunday claims,

“Nayef Aguerd – having been linked with both Manchester City and Newcastle – could be on his way if the right sort of bid were to be made next summer.

“David Moyes didn’t name him when claiming City’s second goal was poor in yesterday’s comments but it was clear he held the central defender responsible.

“And it is not the first time his mistakes have drawn a response from the Hammers boot room where we have discovered there have been words about his performances in the past.

“And it now seems that were offers to be made in and around £50million by either club – or others – the club would certainly take a look.”

Nayef Aguerd is not first time linked away from West Ham

Nayef Aguerd has previously been a rumour for Man City and Newcastle United. Moreover, he was also a target for the Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.

Speaking after the game, Moyes said he was “disappointed” with the goal and labelled it a “poor” one to concede. Aguerd may not have been named, but it was clear who the West Ham boss was referring to. It is not the first time he has been at fault this season. A spell out of the side may well do the 27-year-old some good.
