AC Milan to submit improved bid for De Ketelaere

According to the reports, AC Milan will submit a new, improved bid for Club Brugge midfielder Charles De Ketelaere. In their last offer, the Rossoneri submitted a bid of €30 million plus €2 million in bonuses. But the Belgian club rejected that bid. The club wants at least €35 million for their prized asset. However, the PL club Leeds United offered €37 million but De Ketelaere only wants to move to San Siro.

De Ketelaere has 2 years remaining on his current contract at the Belgian club. But he showed no real intention to extend his contract beyond that for the Jan Breydel Stadium outfit.

The player enjoyed a decent season in Juniper Pro League last term. He scored a total of 14 goals and registered 7 assists to his name in 33 apps. Additionally, the player comes in handy anywhere in the forward line, proving to be a valuable asset for his team.

De Ketelaere and AC Milan Situation

According to previous reports, the 21 year old was on the sight of the Leicester City scouts since January. But their failure to secure European football next season might complicate a move to King Power Stadium as the player is looking for it. Previous reports said that De Ketelaere’s ideal club would offer him Champions League football and AC Milan can. However, the Serie A champions are also in the race to sign Noah Lang, De Ketelaere’s teammate.

De Ketelaere was not even in the squad for the Jupiler League season opener yesterday for his side. But they still won 3-2 against KRC Genk. Carl Hoefkens, the coach of Club Brugge, said in a statement:

“I will do everything I can for him, but the situation is all a bit much for Charles.”

Now, according to a new report from Sport Mediaset, ‘Milan have increased their bid yet again to €33m including add-ons, plus a 10 per cent cut of any future sale.’
