Newcastle United vs Chelsea

A report from over the weekend stated that Chelsea is considering a January move for a 23-year-old player they have scouted seven times this season.

Chelsea is currently considering their options and whether to bring any new players to Stamford Bridge during the open and active January transfer window. The primary position that is frequently discussed is the striker. But as of right now, there doesn’t seem to be much activity in that area. Of course, things could still get hot very soon.

The blues hopes to sign defender Aitor Paredes from Athletic Bilba

However, another defender has been mentioned. The Sun reports that Chelsea wants to add Athletic Bilbao defender Aitor Paredes to bolster their defense this month.

This season, Mauricio Pochettino’s team has sent a scout to observe Paredes, 23, seven times. On Thursday, he scored the game’s second goal in a 2-0 victory over Sevilla. Paredes attended Athletic Club’s academy, and according to the report, he would cost £20 million. Chelsea is very interested on him.

Zak Sturge has returned to Chelsea from his loan at Peterborough United

Chelsea defender Zak made eight league appearances for Posh after joining the League One team in the summer for his first senior loan experience.

Sturge made 15 appearances for Darren Ferguson’s team across all competitions. But he is back at Stamford Bridge for the second half of the campaign.

The defender joined Chelsea from Brighton. He featured regularly at PL2 level before moving to London Road at the start of the season.
