Currently the young player is on a loan spell to Southampton. However the player is set to return to Emirates by the end of the season. His contract with Arsenal is till the end of 2024. Arsenal goalkeeper Aron Ramsdale have even deemed Ainsley Maitland-Niles as one of the fastest player in the squad along with Kieran Tierney. Ainsley Maitland-Niles to leave Arsenal by the end of the season

He was one of the fastest player for the Gunners. However Ainsley Maitland-Niles lost his place in the starting line-ups due to his continuous injury problem. Even if he back at Emirates at the end of the season, it is very unlikely that he would stay for next season. The player is clearly not in the plans of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. It is very unlikely for Arteta to change up his squad now. The Gunners are currently at the top of the Premier League table with this current squad. Therefore Ainsley Maitland-Niles joining Southampton on loan spell was the right decision for him. Arsenal does not look like the place where he can grow anymore. He is not included in the future plans of the club. Therefore it is better for him to leave the club. The Gunners will try to get some cash in for the player.

The Gunners will be open to new offers for the players. Ainsley Maitland-Niles will need to find a club which he can call as his home. There he can grow as a player as well. Therefore it will be good for both the parties if the player decided to leave the club on a permanent deal.
