Santos join Chelsea after U-20 South American Championship Triumph

The Brazilian Talent Andre Santos looks on his way to London to join the Blues.

Chelsea signed the midfielder from Vasco Da Gama in January for £16 million. The 18-year-old impressed everyone in the Serie B last season which earned him the Premier League move. Despite bringing Enzo Fernandez, Graham Potter will like to include Santos in the midfield. Injuries to Zakaria, Kante, and Kovacic have made Potter’s life at Stanford Bridge very difficult.

After Santos brief visit to England to sign his contract in January and after that he was immediately sent to South America for the Under-20 South American Championship.

But now, footage have emerged that Santos is moving to London and will soon join Chelsea’s first team. The Blues look eager to deploy him in the middle.

The 18-year-old midfielder played an important role in Brazil’s South American Championship Victory. Santos scored a crucial header for Brazil in their 2:0 win against Uruguay as he captained his side to a Championship triumph.

Santos was also named the man of the match in the final. He scored 6 goals and finished as a joint top scorer at the Championship in Columbia despite playing as a box-to-box midfielder.

With such high confidence, the teenager will be hoping to soon make his Premier League debut for Chelsea. Santos clearly has the standards to play in the English top division.

The London Club is facing a lot difficulty with his work permit, first, one getting rejected. But his success with the Brazilian team will help his second work permit application.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter has also agreed for the Brazilian to be part of the first team should his work permit gets accepted.
