Chelsea are looking to make their third signing Andrey Santos under their new manager Graham Potter. Todd Boehly is looking to make promising signings this transfer window. Even though the transfer window is yet to open. Chelsea have already reportedly made three signings before the window opened. They signed Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig last week in a  lucrative £63m deal. Chelsea have also clinched a deal for Molde’s Datro Fofana according to Fabrizio Romano. Romano have also claimed that Chelsea have won the race for Andrey Santos. Chelsea are looking to secure the deal despite interest from other clubs like Barcelona and Newcastle United.

Andrey Santos is all set to sign for Chelsea

Fabrizio Romano was told about the recent developments by Brazilian reporter Lucas Pedrosa. Romano commented,

“Chelsea are now closing in on Andrey Santos deal. Brazilian midfielder born in 2004 is expected to join the club from Vasco da Gama — here we go soon!”

He further added,

“Personal terms are almost agreed, deal at final stages.”

The signing of Andrey Santos shows a new potential future plan at Stamford Bridge. They are targeting to sign the world’s most prodigious young players. It opens a dam of young talented players at the club’s disposal. Andrey Santos was one of the essential players who contributed to Vasco de Gama’s promotional win in Brazilian Serie B. Santos scored eight goals in the 33 appearances he made this season. He played a crucial role in the team despite of his inexperience.

Santos’ playing style is a lot similar to that of Chelsea maestro Ramires. He won the Champions League, Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup, and League Cup with the club. Ramires scored 34 goals and 25 assists for Chelsea during his time at the club. Santos could prosper at the club if he receives the proper help needed to improve.
