Arsenal are inching closer to sign West Ham star Declan Rice in the summer and it will also make Martin Odeegard unplayable next season.

Gunners are now favourites to sign the England International in the summer. Manager Mikel Arteta will revolutionize his midfield with Rice’s aquisition next season.

According to Daily Telegraph, Journalist Luke Edwards stated his views on the Gunners pursuit of Declan Rice. The West Ham midfielder is under Arsenal’s radar for long time now

Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, he claimed:

“Arsenal are supposedly, and have been quite like Real Madrid with Bellingham, they’ve supposedly got this deal verbally agreed with somebody that he’ll come to Arsenal, but West Ham are being sensible, they realise he won’t sign a new contract and they’re trying to maximise what they will get for him and I’ve heard them looking for as much as £150m for him.”

Arsenal will make their midfield more strong with Rice’s aquisition in the summer.

Norwegian midfelder Martin Odeegard has enjoyed his best season so far, scoring 15 goals and provided 8 assists. With Declan Rice incoming, the duo can become nightmare for oppositions next season.

Rice has everything to become world-class at the Emirates and hence both his creatively and defensively exploits can help supply more balls to Odeegard in the attacking areas. Arteta will be more than excited to unleash the duo on the same side.
