Arsenal are reportedly close to signing Mykhaylo Mudryk this January transfer window. A prominent reporter claims that there has been a dramatic price drop for the player. Mykhaylo Mudryk have emerged as one of the most demanded player after his season at Shakhtar Donetsk. He has an impressive record of scoring five goals in 6 Champions League games this season. Though the Gunners £25m offer was rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk over the summer. But Arsenal are confident to make the deal go through this time. The Ukrainian club have claimed that the transfer would cost a similar fee for Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Arsenal are looking forward to signing Mykhaylo Mudryk this transfer window

Shakhtar Donetsk had put a huge price on the player. However, there is no way that Arsenal will meet the actual price for Mykhaylo Mudryk. TEAMtalk have revealed that the player is pushing to make the move to Emirates. Furthermore, journalists suggest that the move is gaining its momentum. Reports claim that the signing will only go through if there is a price drop for the player than their initial demand. Di Marzio told the news outlets,

“Mudryk is a really good player. AC Milan wanted him in the summer in case Rafael Leao left, but it was too expensive for Milan. Arsenal is currently trying to capture him because they know they are dealing with a very talented player. But whether it will work in January… I don’t know. It is certain that they are in pole position to capture him.”

He further continued,

“Shakhtar is a difficult negotiating partner and they probably charge about €35million (£30m) for him.”

If Arsenal manages to get the deal for £30m, then it is a dream come true for Mikel Arteta. Arsenal are desperate to make the deal happen. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have been exceptional this season, but it is the lack of quality in the squad that is the problem. If any of them were to be injured then Arsenal will lack in options. With this deal going through it might give Arsenal some hope.
