Arsenal are interested in Fikayo Tomori in the summer

Arsenal are interested in signing AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori in the summer transfer window as they consider adding another centre-back.

Gunners are in urgent need of a new centre-back for next season. Rob Holding isn’t quite on the same level as injured William Saliba and has failed to fill the void. Jacub Kiwior came as a cover for Gabriel Magalhaes in the winter transfer window.

According to 90mins, Arsenal are showing interest in signing Tomori in the summer transfer window. It’s stated that Gunners were keeping close attention on the English centre-back during Saturday’s game between Roma and Milan.

Arsenal are keeping a close watch on with real interest on bringing Tomori back to England this summer. Milan signed him from Chelsea for £25 million in 2021.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand hailed him as “faultless” after holding Spurs to 0:0 draw in March. The 25-year-old has really developed himself since joining Milan but it’s strange he isn’t part of Southgate’s Three lions setup. He was disappointed with World Cup omission and said:-

“There was a disappointment not going to the World Cup but that’s football, you just have to move on.”

With Champions League football returning next season, Arsenal will look to make their backline more strong. In Saliba’s absence, Tomori can fill-in but it’s hard to imagine him taking this kind of role.

However, Tomori’s return to Premier League will be the best route for his upcoming career and he would considers offers to return this summer.
