Arsenal are really interested in signing Atletico Madrid‘s star player Joao Felix. The Portuguese playmaker have told his agent that he wishes to leave the club in January. Therefore this has given a boost to Arsenal’s plans as they have been interested in the young player for a long time. Premier League rivals Manchester United are also interested to sign the player. Furthermore the Gunners London rival Chelsea are also looking to sign the midfielder. Joao Felix can play as an attacking midfielder, winger, or as forward. Journalist Paul Brown told GiveMeSport that Arsenal have admired the Portuguese for a long time are hoping to sign the player.
Joao Felix could be the missing piece for Arsenal
The 23- year old player could make Arsenal better than they already are. Often times we have seen the player struggle to do well in the Spanish club because of his playing time in the team. Furthermore Joao Felix prefer playing free-flowing attacking football which would be beneficial for Arsenal. Atletico Madrid does not tend to play this style of football and it has created a problem for the youngster to grow as a player. Arsenal plays wonderful attacking football under manager Mikel Arteta. With Arsenal, Joao Felix might grow into his full potential like that of Martin Odegaard. The Gunners are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League. Therefore it could be an enticing offer for the player. However it depends of Atletico Madrid, if they would allow the player to leave for Premier League.
The Gunners fans would be in for a treat if the Portuguese player does come to the Emirates. Arsenal have focused to build the team around young players who can become the future of the club. Joao Felix could be one of such players who could become the core of this team.
