Arsenal is allegedly planning an offensive makeover for next summer, which may include a move for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Arsenal makeover began this year, after they finished ninth in the Premier League, their lowest position in 26 years. And saw them spend roughly £150 million on six new signings.

But none of these addressed their offensive issues, which include Alexandre Lacazette, who is out of contract next summer. And an ageing Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, who will turn 33 at the end of the season.

Outside of Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal is severely lacking in strikers, and according to Football London. Arsenal’s technical director Edu is already compiling a list of targets to potentially replace all three.

Calvert-Lewin, who has developed as one of England’s main marksmen over the previous year, is said to be the No. 1 outstanding prospect for Arsenal.

Last season, the 24-year-old scored 21 goals in all competitions, including 16 in the Premier League.

His success earned him a spot in England’s Euro 2020 team, and it continued over into this season when he scored in the first three Premier League games before injuring his toe.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin 6ft 2in striker may benefit from the Arsenal style of play, since they tried the third most crosses in the Premier League last season, and one of the 24-year-strengths old’s is his heading accuracy.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, on the other hand, is unlikely to make a move earlier in the January transfer window, having ruled out the prospect of Lacazette departing as early as the new year, which would be the club’s last chance to get a transfer fee for the Frenchman.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a new hope for Arsenal?

Last season Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored 16 goals in the league during his 33 appearances. While this season before his injury had scored 3 goals in the League. A key figure in his stats is the fact that 7 goals last season were headers. While Arsenal hasn’t had the best of headers of the ball in their striking department. This move would be a stepping stone due to the fact of his heading accuracy. Though he missed 17 big chances in the league, it must be stated that the player was lethal in front of the goal.
