Arsenal are open to sell Kieran Tierney in the summer transfer window. Kieran Tierney lost his regular spot in the team to Zinchenko. Newcastle United have now shown their interest in the player. News reports suggests that the Gunners will consider letting Tierney leave next transfer window. However the interest will only go through if the right offer comes in for the player. Therefore if Kieran Tierney does decide to leave Arsenal, then Newcastle could be his potential destination. According to news outlets, Newcastle are currently targeting the player. Furthermore Eddie Howe is looking to bring in a new left-back to the team. The Gunners may set a price tag of about £40m for Tierney if the interest is said to be genuine. Many journalists have doubts about the player’s future at the Emirates. Tierney have been unfortunate with his injuries. He have missed several important matches for the Gunners.

Kieran Tierney could be sold by Arsenal this summer transfer window

Kieran Tierney lost his position in the Arsenal squad since Zinchenko joined them from Manchester City. Furthermore there is a question as to whether or not Kieran Tierney fits the system of Mikel Arteta. Journalist Dean Jones have therefore expressed his concerns regarding the future of the player. Jones said, “I don’t think they’re keen to get his wages off, but I think that they are very open to the prospect of him leaving. I think that they are happy with him as a player. He further added, “I think that he’s a good player and they’re completely content with the levels he can play at, but I don’t think he fully fits the system.” However Aston Villa are also said to be in the race to try and sign Tierney. A move by Aston Villa will definitely be an interesting development in the transfer saga.

Kieran Tierney have only made four starts in the Premier League so far this season. Arteta seems to prefer to start Zinchenko over the Scottish international. And with the Gunners doing so well right now, it is unlikely for Arteta to make any changes in the starting XI.
