Arsenal to sell Nicolas Pepe in the summer transfer window
Reports claim that Nicolas Pepe himself wants to leave the club. He therefore sees no future with the Gunners. Reports have stated, “Pepe has not started a Premier League game for the Gunners since October 2021 and has made it clear that he does not see a future for himself in North London after falling behind Bukayo Saka in the pecking order.” Arsenal have not yet received any interest from any other club for Nicolas Pepe. Therefore if the Gunners fail to receive an offer from any interested party, they could pay the player off. The Gunners could pay Pepe off and terminate his contract with them. It is very unlikely for him to be an Arsenal player next season. It will be better for both parties if the player is sold off to a different club.
Arteta chose Bukayo Saka over Nicolas Pepe because the England international is younger and faster than Pepe. Saka is regarded as one of the best wingers in the Premier League. Therefore Pepe would be better off without Arsenal as of now.
