Arsenal are said to have opened talks with English midfielder Jarrod Bowen for a possible move this summer. The West Ham man had an excellent season with the Hammers this year which earned him a call to the national team.
He was bought from Hull City in 2020 for a fee of £19million. Throughout the 50 games that, he played for the club across all competitions this season he scored 18 goals and provided a further 11 assists. Such impressive statistics earned him interest from Arsenal.
Moreover, The Beautiful Game Podcast reported that the Gunners have already started negotiations with Bowen’s representatives for a possible move to the Emirates this summer.
The Podcast said on Saturday said,” Arsenal have opened contact with the representatives of Jarrod Bowen over a possible transfer. He’s amongst their list of potential transfer targets, which includes Leeds United’s Raphinha.”
Arsenal’s wish list of transfers this summer
Mikel Arteta seems to have a grand plan in mind with transfers this summer. They have already released Andre Lacazette on a free transfer, who have made a move to his former club Lyon. Leeds’ star winger Raphinha is also said to be pondered over. However, as things stand Arteta seems to prioritize the signing of Bowen this summer.
Bowen made his debut for England last week in the 1-0 defeat against Hungary. Then subsequently he made two substitute appearances consecutively against Germany and Italy in the Nations League. Arsenal also have set eyes on Manchester City’s duo of Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
However, recently a report said that Jesus would like to join Real Madrid rather than Arsenal. Both the players have years left on their contracts. Therefore, City also wants to release them this summer, in order to get some money from them before they leave as a free transfer.
