Arsenal are reportedly the only club in the race to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk in January. Many clubs are also showing interest in the Ukrainian winger for a January transfer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are the only side currently in for the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk. The report also claims that the winger only wants to go to the Gunners in January. Hence, his agent is working hard on the potential transfer. The intentions are clear from the player’s side that he wants to leave Shakhtar and join the Gunners in January. However, the only problem is Mikel Arteta needs the owners to agree on a fee with the Ukrainian giants.
At the moment, they want 85 million for their star winger. Arsenal have made it clear that they will not pay such a high fee for Mykhaylo Mudryk. Hence, a long round of negotiations are expected in the January transfer window. The report also claims that Mykhaylo Mudryk is trying to force a move-out. He thinks that he has done his best for Shakhtar Donetsk. However, Donetsk wants to keep him at the club till the end of the season.
THE OTHER INTERESTED CLUBS HAVE DROPPED THEIR INTEREST
Fabrizio Romano speaking on Mykhaylo Mudryk said,
“At the moment it’s Arsenal pushing for Mykhaylo Mudryk but there’s still no advanced negotiation on the fee,” Romano said. “Everton and Brentford wanted him in the summer, Brentford were actually first European club to move for Mudryk many months ago thanks to Lee Dykes who wanted him.”
He further said that Everton and Brentford have decided to exit the race for Mykhaylo’s signature.
Newcastle United were also thinking of making 50 million for him. However, the winger has rejected advances from the magpies on personal terms. Hence, it is clear that Mykhaylo Mudryk only wants the Arsenal transfer. Although, the Gunners are also struggling at the moment to agree on a fee with the winger. Therefore, the Gunners have to get the groundwork done for the deal before the start of the January transfer window. They need to avoid any last-moment problems in the agreement.
It is because many clubs will be interested in the summer transfer deal. Hence, Arsenal needs to secure a January transfer to avoid competition from other clubs in the next summer transfer window.
