Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal are currently winning the race for West Ham star Declan Rice this summer.

Rice is attracting lots of interest from other big European clubs such as Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Manchester United. But, Gunners are now in ideal position to sign him this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal discussed there plans with Rice and they are now confident to getting this deal done for the West Ham captain. The Journalist posted on his Twitter account :-

“Arsenal will enter into crucial stages of Declan Rice deal next week. Official bid expected very soon after positive talks in the recent days.

“Gunners feel they’re ahead of Bayern as player priority is to continue in England — but timing will be crucial for Arsenal.”

Rice is in great form, as West Ham United won the UEFA Europa Conference League last month. After the finals, the 24-year-old admitted that interest was there from other big clubs.

Arsenal are looking for a midfielder this summer, as Granit Xhaka is expected to depart. The Swiss midfielder is close to joining Bayern Leverkusen as he wants to move back to Germany.

Gunners need to get this deal done as soon as possible but if they fail sign to Rice, it will be a massive failure for the club. He is the man Arsenal needs right now to change their fortunes.

However, the good news for the supporters is that talks seems to be progressing on a positive note. Arsenal are confident to get deal done before the window gets monitoring.
