Arsenal chief Edu Gasper preparing a move for Lautaro Martinez

Arsenal chief Edu Gasper is preparing a move for Lautaro Martinez in the summer amidst interest from other Premier League clubs.

Inter Milan will demand atleast £65 million in the summer. The Argentine joined the Italian Giants in 2018 and has won the Seria-A Title and Italian club during his time at San Siro.

Martinez has scored 35 goals in across all competitions this season. He will be an important man against Manchester City in the Champions League Final.

Mikel Arteta will bring reinforcements in the summer as Arsenal will prepare for a return to the Champions League next season. Due to which, Martinez has been identified as top target for the Gunners next season.

However, Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are also in dire need of a new striker and are currently monitoring Martinez ahead of the summer.

Former English International Owen Hargreaves praised the Argentine and told he would be perfect addition to Arsenal this summer. He said:-

“He’s (Martinez) a fabulous player. The way he leads the line reminds me a bit of Carlos Tevez. How aggressive he is, but he’s got a great touch, always running forward.

“Martinez has been fantastic. What a fabulous player! He can press, is a good finisher, and has good link-up play.

“He literally gives you everything you need from a centre-forward.”

Arsenal chief Edu Gasper will also try to get his revenge by securing a move for Martinez in the summer ahead of the Chelsea. Gunners fell short in January as Blues piped their London Rivals to sign Mykhailo Mudryk.
