Arsenal considering spending a total of £180million for three star players in the summer transfer window

According to The Sun, Arsenal are planning their biggest spending spree in the summer transfer window with three signings worth £180 million. The Gunner were already the biggest spenders in the transfer market this season and have good results of the new recruitments. Moreover, they also failed to make any new signings in the January transfer window.

Arsenal have shown great improvement this season but have failed to find that consistency in the league. Some players might leave Arsenal after this season for which they will need good replacements to continue this improvement. They are currently fighting for a top-four spot and a return to Champions League.

If they qualify for the Champions League then they will need a strong squad in order to face the best opposition from all over Europe. They will also need good depth in their squad to have a backup for injured players and to face the fatigue also. However, they will have to break the bank in order to get recruitments according to their requirements.

Arsenal want to strengthen their attack and midfield primarily since January. Aubameyang has joined Barcelona while Lacazette and Nketiah have less than six months left on their contract. Arsenal tried signing Bruno Guimaraes and Arthur Melo but that was not successful. They plan to spend £180 million on signing two forwards and one midfielder in the summer.

Who is Arsenal targeting to sign in the summer transfer window?

Alexander Isak

The 22-year-old Swedish striker has a £75 million release clause set by Real Sociedad. Arsenal thinks that the buyout clause for the player is very high and might try to bargain with the club. However, if that is not possible Arsenal could be ready to pay the release clause. Isak is a pacey striker who can beat the defenders with skill and also in a race. He can become one of Europe’s elite if things go his way in the future.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Everton values their striker at £60 million which is again a bit high considering that he has rarely played this season. The 24-year-old has been mostly injured this season and has failed to regularly feature and score for Everton this season. Although we had a sniff of his quality when he played under Carlo Ancelotti. He can replicate that again at Arsenal if he finds his way away from the injuries.

Ruben Neves

Arsenal also have Ruben Neves on their radar and could sign him for a fee of £45 million. The creative defensive midfielder has been Wolves’ main player this season and has saved them from embarrassment quite a few times this season. He could be a massive signing for Arsenal as he would change a lot of things in the midfield and also in attack.

Although the price is high for the three signings, all the players could prove to be very useful for Arsenal. They can also challenge all the bigger clubs with more intent and ease with the talent they will acquire. However, they will have to be aware of the competition they will be facing. Arsenal must offer something that none of the other clubs can and must quick with the operations to win the deal.
