Arsenal could make a move for this French star

Arsenal is preparing to make a move for Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara on a free transfer. Kamara’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season. Moreover, he is said to leave the French club this summer.

What has caught the eye of Arsenal is his exceptional talent at such a young age. The French youngster has already amassed 169 appearances for Merseille and he is only 22 years old.

Fichajes reports that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could look to bring Kamara to Arsenal. However, he could come to the Emirates on a free transfer as his contract expires at the end of this season.

Moreover, Arteta is looking for a possible candidate who can complement and support Thomas Partey at midfield.

How important can Kamara be to Arsenal, if he is signed?

Kamara has proved his worth even as a central defender. Moreover, he has grown as a possession-based player in the last few years playing in the French club.

Arteta have Partey for pulling off the dirty tackles and breaking the flow of the game. Therefore, if Kamara is brought in beside Partey it would have a positive impact on the Arsenal’s playing setup.

Arteta is one of those managers who like to have his men on the ball throughout the game. He does not like losing the ball. Although, With that perspective in mind, Kamara would be an ideal fit. Being young, he can chase the ball and snatch it away from the opponents.

Kamara also comes with an added advantage- he can play as a center-back. He Has proven his worth in that position. Coming with no transfer fees, at such a young age- he is slated to be a player for the future at Arsenal. Moreover, Eddie Nketiah and Andre Lacazette are projected to leave with their contracts expiring. They would need at least one or two new men to take responsibility of the attack.
