Mykhaylo Mudryk is the top priority signing for Arsenal this January transfer window. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would be looking to strengthen his squad. Furthermore, he even has full support from the club owners. The Gunners priority in this transfer window is forward Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. Other than that Arsenal are also planning to bring in a midfielder and a left-sided center-back. Although bringing in a center-back might wait till next summer. While they are currently close to signing Mykhaylo Mudryk they were also interested in Pedro Net. Though they, later on, changed their interest and decided to buy a midfielder when Thomas Partey and Elneny got injured.
Arsenal could potentially make three more signings this transfer window
The Gunners will be looking to sign a striker after Gabriel Jesus’ injury. Eddie Nketiah is the only striker in the senior team for Arsenal. Though a wide forward could ease up the load on Nketiah, and Gabriel Martinelli would also be allowed to play through the middle. Joao Felix and Jonathan David have emerged as viable options for the club as they both can play out wide or through the middle. Arsenal are also a huge admirer of Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka. The Gunners are also monitoring Leicester City’s midfielder Youri Tielemans for a long time. However, Arsenal might sign both of these players for free next summer when both their contracts expire.
It is very unlikely for players to leave the club during this transfer window. But one such player who could leave is Cedric Soares. Fulham are leading in the race to sign him. However, he has also gained interest from Bayer Leverkusen and Villarreal. Elneny is another player who is entering in the last six months of his contract. But he has proved to be an important player for the squad hence Arsenal would be willing to extend his contract.
