Arsenal defender Pablo Mari has reportedly recovered faster than expected from his injury. The Gunners defender is currently on loan with AC Monza in Serie A.
However, he suffered a deadly attack from a stranger during his visit to a fall. Hence, many thought that the Brazilian defender would be not available to play for the remainder of the season.
THE MALL INCIDENT WITH PABLO MARI IN ITALY
Arsenal defender Pablo Mari joined the newly promoted AC Monza in the Serie A on loan. However, there is a mandatory option to make the deal permanent. Although, for that Monza will have to survive relegation. The Brazilian defender made a brilliant start for his new team. However, a month ago, a knife attack happened in the mall. The attack ended up leaving one person dead and several injured. Pablo Mari was also one of the injured people in the attack.
However, he said on social media that the injury was not deadly. Both Gunners fans and AC Monza sent their wishes to Pablo Mari through his agent. Arsenal management also made it sure to stay updated on the situation through the defender’s agent. However, the injury kept him out for all the league games that happened before the start of the World Cup break. However, it looks like fortunately Pablo Mari will play in the second half of the season. This is going to be good news for the Gunners and the Italian club.
THE RECOVERY OF THE BRAZILIAN DEFENDER WILL HELP ARSENAL AND AC MONZA
According to reports, Pablo Mari has started running on the treadmill and doing regular exercises. The report also claims that Monza are hopeful of having him available for action in the next month. This is surely a piece of good news for the Italian side. They are currently 14th on the Serie A table. However, they saw a decline in their form in the matches before the World Cup. In the last 5 matches, they only managed to win 2 matches. Hence, it is clear that they are missing the experience of Pablo Mari in the defence.
However, the recovery of Pablo Mari is also going to benefit Arsenal in a financial way. This is because they have put a 6 million mandatory buy option on the defender. The defender has no future with the Premier League giants. However, the mandatory option will only activate if they can survive their relegation fight this season. Hence, it is important that Pablo Mari plays well for the Serie A club after his recovery. This will potentially benefit all the parties involved in the deal.
Hence, Arsenal fans will hope that Pablo Mari recovers and helps AC Monza survive relegation from Serie A. This is because it will increase their next summer transfer budget. Another thing is they still have fond memories of Pablo Mari playing in the Gunners shirt. Hence, they will hope that the Brazilian has a brilliant playing career for AC Monza.
