Arsenal have to pay £35 million for their target Jeremie Frimpong

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal have to pay £35 million for their target Jeremie Frimpong this summer.

Speaking on the Born and Red YouTube Channel, Romano was asked about the young full-back. Gunners have been linked with Frimpong this summer.

Ben White had a good season last term. But he is set to face more competition for his place in the team next season.

Arsenal are close to signing Ajax defender Jurrien Timber, who is might play as a right-back in the team. He can also play as a centre-back and some people are also claiming that he is a mirror copy of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Meanwhile Fabrizio Romano have given information about Jeremie Frimpong. Mikel Arteta is seriously interested in him, but Gunners might opt-out of the race. He said :-

“He has new agents now, or better to say that his original agents parted with new agents, so this is what was going on.

“From what I’m hearing, this is an expensive player this summer. I’m told that Bayer Leverkusen could start negotiations only from £35m.

“There was a big opportunity in January as they were happy with £20m-£25m, now it’s around £35m, so it’s way more expensive.

“I think this is difficult but [Jeremie] Frimpong is prepared to make his move and the priority of Frimpong is to go to the Premier League.

“So, let’s see if some clubs will put the money on the table, but at the moment not, but let’s see.”

Romano suggests that Frimpong might cost above £35 million this summer. Arsenal might not spend that much money on him at this moment.

However Gunners aren’t short of full-backs and might again come back for him this summer, when fund are available.
