Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club will look to sign players in the January transfer window. However, he says that the club will have to make quick deals.

This is because the January transfer window will be a short window. The Gunners are prioritizing the signing of a midfielder and right-winger.

ARSENAL’S JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW PLANS

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club will be active in the January transfer window. However, he also made it clear that they will only make deals that suit their budget. Although, this statement also confirms that owners are ready to invest in Arteta’s vision this season. Hence, this can only be good news for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal fans.

Mikel Arteta also said,

“The planning of that period is extremely difficult. “First of all because we know the January window, how special it is, the opportunities that you have, the short window that you have. “Once you get the player they are straight away competing, so there is not an adaption process. The Arsenal boss also added, “And obviously with the position that we are in right now as well, it demands as well another level of player – and that player has to be available. “We will look at everything.

MIKEL ARTETA WILL PRIORITIZE THE MIDFIELD AND WINGER POSITION

According to reports, Arsenal will look to sign a midfielder and a right winger. The midfielders that were linked are Jesper Lindstrom, Douglas Luiz, Danilo, and Youri Tielemans. Hence, the Gunners will hope to convince one of the players to join them in the January transfer window. The new potential midfielder signing will replace the injured Mohamed Elneny. Elneny is set to be out for the entire season through an injury.

Mikel Arteta will also hope that they can also sign a right winger with the remaining budget. Mykhaylo Mudryk, Facundo Torres and highly rated teenager Endrick are the options that they are considering in the January transfer window. However, it looks like Arsenal fans want Arteta to try and sign Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. Although, Donetsk are asking over 50 million for him.

Hence, Arsenal will hope that they end up signing at least one of the player. The new potential signings will help them continue the challenge for the Europa League and the Premier League. They are currently top of the Premier League table and have finished top in their Europa League group.
