tennis player

Arsenal have started the preparation for the next season after an another great season under Mikel Arteta. The North London club fell short by just two points to win the Premier League. The Gunners had a very good season in terms of both scoring and defending. However the main strikers of the club were unable to help the team to their fullest. To overcome this problem we may see some new strikers joining the club with the departure of old ones. Amongst the strikers linked with Arsenal, Benjamin Sesko is now making headlines with his move to London.

Arsenal to go after Sesko

Arsenal may be soon seen to go after 21 year old striker. The club scouts believe that Sesko could be the potential striker they need. Sesko’s release clause is £55 million. However it was previously reported that Leipzig are demanding around £64 million for the Slovenian striker. Arsenal were also linked with Victor Osimhen who’s release clause is far more than this. Hence it won’t be a problem for Arsenal to go after Sesko.

Sesko has shown his quality by scoring 18 goals for each of the last two seasons for two different clubs. The 21 year old has already earned his place as regular starter for national team. Sesko has made his appearance in 28 games for Slovenia. He has 11 international goals. Sesko received offer from Manchester United by was not convinced to join them. He instead choose to join Leipzig but in recent weeks was reported to be interested in joining Arsenal. Mikel Arteta could use another young talent to strengthen his side and prepare for a bright future. Sesko is fast, strong and has good finishing skills which will make him crucial for Gunners.

Journalist Steve Kay about Sesko’s move

Journalist Steve Kay has claimed that he has heard directly from Arsenal about their situation with Benjamin Sesko. With Arsenal been heavily linked with Slovenian striker Kay’s information seems relevant and may give some hints about club’s strategy.

Steve Kay said that Arsenal have already held talks with the striker. He continued that the Gunners are waiting for an answer from Leipzig. According to him Sesko is their main target and are willing to push hard for him. Kay said that there are no more to report. However the journalist didn’t receive straight no and believes that its a sign that Gunners are waiting for Leipzig’s answer.

We have seen the big football clubs deny the rumors if they are uninterested in any player. However this was not the case we saw from Arsenal. Arsenal never said straight no to any questions about Sesko. They rather have said not yet hinting there is still something going on the table. As a conclusion it won’t be surprise if Sesko ends up at the Emirates next season.

Journalist Ben Jacobs about Sesko’s move

Journalist Ben Jacobs had his say on Sesko’s situation on The Football Terrace podcast. Jacobs says that he won’t be surprised if Gunners go on to sign Sesko. He continued that along with Arsenal, Chelsea are also interested in Slovenian striker but Arsenal have a upper hand considering all the situations.

Eddie Nketiah seems to be making his way away to make room for new Arsenal striker. The future of Gabriel Jesus is also uncertain. Kai Havertz who has played majority of the season as striker could be seen adapting to his preferred position after the arrival of new striker. As of now many names have been considered by the club. Benjamin Sesko is one of the prominent name amongst those and could be seen ending up at North London.
