Arsenal: Response from Arsenal’s Edu regarding Kylian Mbappe links

Kylian Mbappé

There have been recent reports and speculation around Arsenal regarding Kylian Mbappe’s future. The Paris Saint-Germain star has stated that he does not intend to extend his contract in France. Potentially making him a free agent next year. English media outlets have linked Arsenal with a possible move for Mbappe. Suggesting that the Gunners could try to acquire him on a free transfer in 2024. This news has excited Arsenal fans, especially after Mbappe was seen spending time with Folarin Balogun recently. However, it’s important to note that these are just rumors at this point and no official announcements or confirmations have been made regarding Mbappe’s future or Arsenal’s interest in him.

In response to the rumors and fan comments circulating on social media. An image was shared on Instagram and later shared on Twitter, where a fan jokingly claimed that Arsenal’s sporting director, Edu, would be “sliding into Mbappe’s DMs soon.” Additionally, it was reported by FootballTransfers, the website that initially broke the news of Arsenal’s interest. That another fan commented about a supposed £90 million bid made by Arsenal.

Arsenal and Mbappe

Edu, in a light-hearted manner, responded to these comments with five laughing emojis, indicating that he found the situation amusing. However, it’s important to note that these interactions on social media should be taken with a grain of salt. As they may not necessarily reflect any official negotiations or developments in the potential transfer.

Unfortunately for fans of Arsenal, Edu’s response on social media does not indicate that a deal for Kylian Mbappe is imminent. It is unlikely that many supporters were seriously considering the possibility of such a high-profile transfer. However, it is natural for fans to indulge in dreams and speculation. Considering Mbappe’s potential availability in the future and Arsenal’s historical interest in him dating back to his teenage years under Arsene Wenger’s management. Some fans may still hold onto a glimmer of hope for a remarkable transfer someday.
