According to reports Arsenal are scouting Red Bull Salzburg’s wonderkid Roko Simic. The 18-year-old Croatian wonderkid is currently on loan at RB Salzburg’s reserve team FC Liefering.

Roko Simic has already scored seven goals in ten appearances for FC Liefering. He also made his Red Bull Salzburg debut as he made an appearance off the bench for the final three minutes in Salzburg’s Champions League win over Wolfsburg.

Roko Simic joined Red Bull Salzburg from Lokomotiva Zagreb in the summer. His progress in his senior career hasn’t gone unnoted as major European clubs are after his signature. Alongside Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton are all interested in the Croatian wonderkid.

Simic has four appearances for the Croatia Under-21s and has scored five times already. He is also the son of 100-cap Croatia defender and legend Dario Simic.

Roko Simic the perfect Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal

Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette is out of contact in 9 months. And there are still no indications of the forward signing a new deal at Arsenal. Alexandre Lacazette can even be sold in the January transfer window and Roko Simic can be the perfect replacement for the outgoing French forward. Arsenal over the past few transfer windows have been investing in young talents who can help the team in the present and the future. And RokoSimic certainly falls under that category too.

Tottenham still don’t have an out and out centre forward backup for star striker Harry Kane at the club. And Harry Kane’s future at the club is still assured and he may look for a move away from the side next summer. Simic can be the perfect backup for Harry Kane or even the perfect replacement for the Engladn captain.

Roko joined Red Bull Salzburg this summer and has a contract until 2025. Red Bull Salzburg valued Roko Simic at around £7 million.
