The Gunners are enjoying sensational season under Mikel Arteta as they have mounted serious challenge for the Premier League title this term. Arsenal currently stand 2nd in the points table.

Arsenal need to strengthen their team this summer to maintain their current position at the top of the table. Edu Gasper — the club’s sporting director admitted that their preparation of summer is already underway. He said:-

“It’s already started because you know what’s happening in the market, everybody is doing stuff.

“You have to plan with people as well just to be prepared so when you go again in the summer you are very prepared.

“I always make myself comfortable going into the transfer window when we’ve prepared how to face those challenges. In the Premier League, there are a lot of clubs and a lot of good managers so the competition is hard. So, as soon as you prepare well, you feel comfortable.”

Arsenal are looking for a backup right-back and scouts have identified Castagne as a potential option in the summer. He has made 33 apperances for Leicester City this season and the Belgian is also capable of playing as a left-back when needed.

Arteta needs a new right-back as he wants to play Ben White more centrally in 2023/24 season. However, Gunners main priority is to strengthen their midfield and Declan Rice is there main target.
