Arsenal is yet to announce the signing of Matt Turner from New England Revolution. But several sources claimed that the goalie to the Emirates Stadium outfit is a done deal.
Arsenal correspondent for Goal, Charles Watts said that Matt Turner is definitely arriving at London to complete his move. He will complete his medical first for the Gunners and then the club will confirm him as an official signing.
Turner’s club New England Revolution, back in February confirmed he would join the Gunners in summer. The very same was also quite evident from Turner’s social media stories he put himmslef. Arsenal congratulated him on his wedlock and sent gifts from the club. Just last week, he also gave an interview to Sky Sports where the panel asked him to share his thoughts on the move.
What media personalities said on this move to Arsenal
Express journalist Ryan Taylor said on YouTube: “Turner will be having his medical on Wednesday. He officially joins on July 1st, and that should be confirmed later in the week.”
Charles Watts said: “That still hasn’t been confirmed by Arsenal even though it’s been done for so long now. But I think we’re very, very close to that being confirmed.
Furthermore he added: “I think, I believe that Matt Turner will be at Arsenal tomorrow, which is Thursday. So either today or tomorrow that he’s arriving, but he’s definitely arriving this week to sort out all the formalities on his move. And then it will be officially announced by Arsenal. I suspect that’s probably the next deal we might hear confirmed by Arsenal in terms of incomings or outgoings.”
Last year in June, New England head coach Bruce Arena was all praise for his player. About Turner, he said: “He’s improved greatly. He continues to improve, he works real hard, he’s a good student of the game, a great person.”
