Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli has said that he views new summer signing Marquinhos as a brilliant player. He also said that he has huge talent.

Hence, he is bound to be successful at the club. However, the young Marquinhos will have to wait for the right opportunities this season.

A BRILLIANT BARGAIN SIGNING BY ARSENAL

Arsenal managed to sign Marquinhos for only 3 million. This was because his contract was going to expire soon. Hence, the Gunners managed to get a cheap deal. However, a number of people claimed that they only signed Marquinhos because he was available for cheap. They also said that the Gunners would loan him out for two years and then sell him for profit.

However, none of the claims are looking correct at the moment. Arsenal had loan offers for their winger. However, Arteta refused to loan him out. Mikel Arteta sees him as an important part of the first-team squad. Since then, Marquinhos has started a number of Europa League games. He is also a regular substitute in the Premier League games this season.

THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE OF MARQUINHOS IN THE JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW

According to reports, Arsenal are open to loaning out Marquinhos in the January transfer window. This is because Arteta wants to sign a new right-winger. They also have a fit Reiss Nelson that can be a backup for Bukayo Saka. Hence, if the new signing arrives, Marquinhos will be the fourth choice. However, his Gunners teammate Gabriel Martinelli thinks he will be the future star player for the club.

He further said,

“What I can do for the boys I will do, I try to help as much as possible,”. “I always try to say to him to be yourself, and do what you know because we’re both here because of our talent.“You need to believe in yourself, so he needs to keep doing it because everyone at the club knows that he has a huge talent.”

Hence, Arsenal will have to find the best option for Marquinhos to loan him out. Whereas, for Martinelli, the Gunners are in negotiations for a new contract. Hence, it is likely that both the young Brazilians will stay with the Premier League giants for a long time.
